Here's a wonderful example of generative learning. Cory called on Wednesday, right in the middle of my lecture, to ask if we could do cards to remember 9/11. Of course, I would have preferred that he be there to ask, but life is on a fast track these days, and most of us are struggling to keep up. I apologize that it took me until today to upload this, and I haven't finished the card projects yet. But I will. And the memories will go on. I hope you'll all find time to catch hold of this memory, wonder what it all means, and think about what Albert Borgmann says about using technology to let us live more deeply and more meaningfully, not using it to categorize ourselves into non-humans and cyborgs into all there is.

More soon. jeanne

How do we remember that awful September day when we watched in awe and horror as the Twin Towers fell? Where do we put that day in our collection of memories. Celerate it? How? What does it all mean today? I'd like to offer some plausible answers to those questions.
