Academic Integrity on the Social Issue AgendaCenter for Academic IntegrityMembership in Center for Academic Integrity
Developing an Academic Assessment Guide
It seems that we should include academic integrity as one component of respect on an academic campus. We have already considerable evidence of affect with respect to this issue. To move to the level of technical governance discussion we need information.
To plan a table that invites people to consider a social issue, you need to provide them with some information. Three kinds of information have already been suggested. First, the academic administrations memo supporting academic integrity. That needs to be prominently displayed as it gives you status.
In naked space we have had considerable narrative activity with stories that express our concern when academic integrity and respect are ignored. Narrative presentation of naked space examples is thus a second kind of information you want to share.
The Center for Academic Integrity brings us up to a technical level to persuade people that this is a social issue that needs our awareness and our active pursuit of change in what we perceive to me a dominant discourse that short changes academic integrity.
