for Us to Dialog about Your Learning

This is my page for recording what I know about your learning. It comes from my head and the occasional note that makes it home. You should read it over, because you might realize that I should know something about your learning that I haven't recorded. Sometimes I remember when you tell me in the hallways or in classes. Sometimes I forget. You cannot afford, nor are you meant, to be shy about your grade. If I've missed something e-mail me.

Based on Fourth Week Fall Rosters, dated September 22, 2003:

  4. Bland, Kasey

  5. Bledsoe, Ayanna

  6. Brandon, Brenda

  7. Broussard, Lee

  8. Brown, Eurydice

  9. Cain, Kara

September 1, 2003: Don't forget to practice where it's noisy and distracting, so you'll be used to that when you actually take the LSAT. jeanne

  10. Campos, Maria

  11. Casquino, Barbara

  12. Chavez, Gerardo

  13. Coke, Joni

  14. Cole, Angela

  15. Collier, Audra

  16. Collins, Deidre

  17. Conner, Mary

September 27, 2003: Mary, if you're going to have a time conflict, please let me know. jeanne

  19. Dale, Lori

  20. Davis, Brenda

  21. Dorn-Williams, Kimberly

  22. Easley, Antoinette

Saturday, September 27, 2003: Be sure to remind me to help you and your cohort find material that fits your more advanced needs. Things should slow down a little once we catch up to all this late registration. jeanne

September 1, 2003: Glad to see you back, and glad you got the card. Didn't send any from Scotland this summer. Too tired from all this course work. jeanne

  23. Ejiofor, Lesley

Saturday, September 27, 2003: OK. You're a dancer. I'll get used to it. Lesley's Dancing Hairdos.

September 1, 2003: Great persistence in questioning. Maybe you should consider a teaching assistant role. jeanne I learned I like school.

September 1, 2003:Lesley, you weren't there on Thursday, and all I could do was pull at the top of my head trying to describe your hair. So I included you in this week's painting with that hairdo, so the class will know I'm not completely nuts. jeanne

  24. Fitts, Zerrona:

September 1, 2003: From Verrona, to Therrona, to Zerrona. Sounds like a baseball play; but I finally got there, yes? jeanne

  25. Frias, Bernadette

  27. Gomez, Hilda

  28. Gosha, Stacy

  30. Griffin, Michael

September 27, 2003: Michael, do you really never want to slug the bad guys? That's the hardest thing in the world for me to deny that feeling I had in Kindergarten Cop when Schwarzenegger slugged the guy that was hurting his son. Maybe you have more peace genes than I do. jeanne

  37. Jones-Lee, Jacqueline

September 27, 2003: Jacqueline, I'm sorry there wasn't time to go over your reading for Soc. 101. Pat will help you with that until I can find a few moments after this enrollment explosion. jeanne

  40. Lewis, Velma

September 27, 2003: I'm sorry, Velma. I know what you meant, but I still don't think prayer alone will cut it. I think Denice might agree with me. We're talking about moral and ethical behavior being so out of line in the rush to satisfy greed and privilege that all of us collectively need to swear off complicity AND silence. Prayer to God, any God, might help at some point, but right now we're even harming each other over which God. jeanne

Saturday, September 14, 2003: Velma, I remember an early exchange with you in class, but I've forgotten the details. Talk to me, or e-mail me.

September 27, 2003: I know I'm going to confuse you and Chris Johnson. As long as your both there, and sit in the same relative places, I'll be OK. But you'll both need to remind me for a while to get the last names straight. jeanne

Saturday, September 14, 2003: Chris, I do know your face now. Even if you did confuse me by moving around the room. You ask some good questions during class, but I can't pick them out of my apperceptive mass. It's been hectic these first few weeks. Talk to me or e-mail me. jeanne

  45. McCray, Chandra

  46. McFadden, Cheryl

  47. McKinley, Nita

September 27, 2003: Nita, did you add this class? Is the time going to work for you, or do we need to make special arrangements? jeanne

  48. Melendez, Tatiana
  49. Mohammed, Nuru

September 1, 2003: Obi is back! How are you, Nuru? I didn't see you in the rush last week. Welcome back. jeanne

  56. Peraza, Gina

  57. Pinkney, Sheryell

September 27, 2003: Sorry, I didn't get much time with you on Thursday, Sheryell. Pat told me things got a little rough. Don't forget your tree pictures, and we'll talk next week. jeanne

September 1, 2003: Sheryell, that was a beautiful presentation on Thursday, August 28. I commend you for the courage it took to be the first to share; we are all grateful. You took our community of learners a long way towards its making. I learned I like school. jeanne

Saturday, September 14, 2003: Good start of presentation on Princess Diana. I liked her, too. We need to talk about the image she brought to royalty and the price she paid for that. jeanne

September 1, 2003: Tammy, I recall the name, but not your face. Bet that's 'cause you didn't come around a lot. I want a face to go with the name. jeanne

  69. Taite, Nona

  70. Taylor, Alvin

September 27, 2003: Will do my best to remember to bring the art work from Mandela's house in Soweto. jeanne

  71. Velarde, Abel
