Some colors are associated with gender, some with sadness, some with joy. The simple changing of colors can change the context in which the message occurs.
Size is associated with power and force. Again, the simple changing of colors can change the context in which the message occurs.
- Discussion Questions
- Try it. Draw something. No colors? Try coloring it in with whatever you used to draw it. Draw it again, leaving only the outline. You have effectively colored the image the color of the paper, and the color of your drawing utensil. How did that affect the message? Could you think of two messages, one that would go best with each of your colors?
