On Learning to Use a Digital Open-Ended TextTo locate Dear Habermas on any computer, do a search for Dear Habermas. Lots of links will come up. The CSUDH server is not currently have up-to-date because of technical changes. I'll try to correct that this week. Look instead for one of the two mirror sites:
http://oldweb.uwp.edu/academic/criminal.justice/default.htm
Most underlines on Dear Habermas are hot links. That means that if you click on them they will take you to that page.
If something appears to be missing or doesn't print for you, click on the other mirror site. If it still doesn't work, ask or e-mail one of us.
DO NOT try to print out enire weekly issues or even the whole syllabus. They always remain up on the site, and you'' find yourself with mountains of paper.
Assingment for Week 1: Read the syllabus. It matters. I'll post discussion questions for it. and Read the Dear Habermas issue for Week 1, Week of August 27, 2006.
You're not reading it for a test. Read it to get a sense of the planned course, and to ask questions about whatever isn't clear.
