I saw this on HGTV today, a Do It Yourself (DIY) Project. You will need:

  • piece of felt - - - in pale pink or white or pale yellow, a color that will look like the base color of a flower.
  • scissors
  • pattern for flower petal
  • paint
  • brush for painting petals
  • needle and thread - - - to sew petals together
  • bead for center of flower
  • pearls to sew around bead at center

Discussion Questions

Some questions that might help us find a theme for our flower:

  1. What color did you make your flower?
  2. What does that color say to you?
  3. Does the flower make you think of anyone you know?
  4. Can you imagine that person with your flower?
  5. If we made another flower like this one, do you think you might give this flower to that person?
  6. What do you think the flower might say to that person?
