Body Space: Stories of IdentityAs we start our Fall 2006 Moot Court Project on using story-telling to encourage community in our local neighborhoods, I'd like you to consider a couple of blog entries that I came across on one college's student blog website. See Body Space: Fat Girls and I Will Not Write: An Identity Narrative.
I chose the topic of obesity specifically because I consider it a good example of intersectionality. "Fat Girls" says it all for me. But just in case we'd like some critical consciousness and dialog to reclaim our humanity (Freire, Education for Critical consciousness, at p. 12.
