Important to recognize that through gifting a charity one imposes one's own perception of what that charity should do. Sometimes the donor is right, sometimes the donor may lack insight into the charity's mission and how the gift might alter the agenda the charity sees as meeting its mission.
Consider the Gates Foundation and its recent gift. Consider the concerns expressed that a considerable part of the funds go abroad, when there are needs unmet here at home.
Compare Fellman and his emphasis on a paradigm shift away from competition. How does that affect the corporate mission?
