Dear World

by Nita Metz

Around me the world looks so gloomy and the air feels of despair
The tension that lurks through people's lives
creates a discomfort that affects all
The anger is raging out of control
The children are lost, nowhere to go
There must be an answer
Where can we turn
The efforts to address the world seem out of touch
The real issues are overlooked much too much
What are we doing, when will we see
The problem is not the kids, it's you and me.

After reading the links to School House Hype Press Release,
I thought I would share [this] poem I wrote a couple of weeks ago.

Nita found the School House Hype material through this link: The Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice.
