Because of recent stem-cell research controversy, this is an urgent concern for 3 million americans with juvenile diabetes. A fundraising walk will be held in Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on 10/22/2006 at 8:00 AM. None near Kenosha that I saw, but you could check it out at the Chapterlist for Wisconsin, or you could put together your own walk. This is the kind of community-building activism that we are trying to promote. Even if there is no walk available, or you can't make the walk, we can work at building community awareness of this and other medical and mental health needs.
