Introduction

Go find the HELP, I'M LOST page. It's grown and grown, so we've added a HELP INDEX. E-mail me when you are lost. Others will have the same problem. This way I can find you all at once. Well, almost all at once.

Don't forget to look at the How to Succeed in Statistics Page! Go to the Statistics Site and do stuff. Jeanne, late on February 1, 1998. Still applies in September.

This site is designed to provide access to files, explanations, exercises, and exams for the Introductory Statistics Course in the Sociology Department at California State University, Dominguez Hills. The site is under beginning cosntruction and is for the convenience of our students at this point.

Not a Phobic Mouse in the House

What a wonderful class! You overran this new site in one evening on Monday evening. Why, there wasn't a phobic mouse in the house! Some of you even leapt ahead and completed the first SPSS exercise, in addition to accessing and studying the Burbules article. Wow! I'll do my best to keep up, but you're going to be a demanding bunch. There's new material on the site for Wednesday. GO TO THE WEB AND DO STUFF. And if you run out of my stuff, well, just invent your own stuff. That's what the Web and Sociology are all about, anyway. You can find new materials from the Statistics Site Home Page by the blinking NEW sign in the Table of Contents. Just scroll down. Well, there got to be rather a lot of that, so we've changed the Site. You'll find a simple What's New? section at the beginning of the table of contents. And a tiny yellow hot (meaning you can click on it as a link) icon to take you to the new material. It took me a while to learn all I neded to reconstruct the site. I've been at work on Dear Habermas. Go check it out.
