Start from the black and white sketches below, files identified alongside them, and create your own vision of Graduation 2001.
- Here are some simple instructions that work on my PC. Now that it's summer you should have enough time to play with them. Teach your kids! Everything you know! love and peace, jeanne
- Right click on the black and white image of Graduation below.
- Save the black and white image as graduation01.gif.
- Open Paint or some other simple graphics program.
- Call in the file you just saved in one of your local directories (that means on your own computer.) graduation01.gif.
- Be sure you remember which directory you put it in! The directory is the whole enchilada in red, like: c:\myfiles\graduation01.gif
- In this example you have saved graduation01.gif in the My Files directory of the C drive (your local hard disk).
- Then finish graduation01.gif yourself, using your own graphics program. One usually comes free with Windows. Find it by clicking on Start, then Programs, then Accessories.
- Use the bucket to fill in an area.
- Use the brush to create paint strokes.
- Use the spray can for a starburst effect.
- Use the eraser tool to remove a color,
which will take you back to the original page color.
- Try Edit, then Undo to undo whatever you just added!
- Remember, you don't have to stay within the lines!
Paint it as you feel it!
- Save it with a new number, like 02, 03, etc. If you save it as graduation01.gif it prints over the original black and white you started with.
